Well after working on and off for the past week on this little guy he is finally done. Meet Mr. Hatty Hattington.
Who is Hatty Hattington? Well...that's a good question as I'm quite unclear myself. But what I do know from playing Battleblock Theater is that Hatty is a good friend that needs some saving. Want to know more about the game?... well than check out the game for yourself and you can start by visiting the Behemoth's website and be sure to check out their other games as well.
The inspiration for creating Hatty came from my 2 and 1/2 yr old daughter who happens to have a soft spot for Hatty. Her face would light up at the mere sight of this little guy as she bobs her head from side to side to the opening music to the Battleblock Theater game. Of course I couldn't resist making my little one her own Hatty Plush.
I had trouble remembering to document pictures and the time I worked on Hatty.

Almost done |
Done but not quite where I want him to be. He's too... happy. |
The picture above is not the best but I wasn't too thrilled with his final look and I knew I was going to continue working on him. I also forgot to take pictures of his hat as I was making it (fail).
Ah! Much better! |
The final product. I just wanted a before and after picture of Hatty sitting on the couch. I restitched and added more stuffing to his hat. Added a darker (but not by much) stitching to his suit and replaced the string he had for a mouth with yarn which that alone made a huge difference. Now he looks sad and miserable. Total work time about 20-22 hours. I have to keep better track of the work I do next time.

Front and Back...Hey where are you going? Is it just me or does he look like he's walking away in that right pic? Maybe it's just me. |
"So happy that I'm finished I'm almost smiling again!" |
My little one is happy now that she has her own Hatty to hug and kiss. That alone makes it all worth it.
This is so cool! I'm really impressed by how much detail you put into this little guy. I just finished Battleblock Theater, and it's quickly become one of my favorite games.
