Lydia Deetz Funko Pop Inspired

I was a huge fan of the 90's animated series Beetlejuice.   I remember watching the movie in the theaters when I was really young.  I was around 8yrs old and remember thinking that the movie was just plain weird but I liked it.  My favorite character, both in the movie but mostly in the cartoon, was Lydia Deetz.  The young teen who wanted to live and be accepted among the ghouls.
In the cartoon she was best buds with Beetlejuice.  She preferred the Neitherworld where Beetlejuice lived as opposed to the mundane everyday life she was living.

Now I'm a fan of the cute and delightful Funko Pop figures and well I noticed a while back there was a Beetlejuice Pop but no Lydia. (whaaaa? Why? insert sad face here)
Soo... I made one myself, the cartoon version that is.  I'm still hoping the good people at Funko decide to make either an animated or movie version of Lydia.  It would definitely have to become a part of my small but growing collection.

Finished and Unglazed

Included some progress pictures.

I ended up adding more hair to her side curl so she looks more like she did in the cartoon.

Size comparison to a real Funko Pop.

Glazed and complete

I personally think she looks best unglazed but I still like the final version.  Plus the glaze gives her a nice seal and extra protection.  Compared to an actual Funko Pop she is quite heavy.  Her head does not turn but as you can see she stands on her own.

Materials Used:
